Fall Out Boy share Sid and Nancy inspired song ‘Irresistible’ – listen

The track features on the band's new album 'American Beauty/American Psycho'

Fall Out Boy have shared a new song, called ‘Irresistible’.

Click above to listen the track, which Pete Wentz of the band has said is inspired by Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen, whose murder Vicious was charged with before his own death from a heroin overdose in 1979.

“When I think of Irresistible it brings this image to my head, whether it’s fictional or real, of Sid and Nancy in an alley garbage raining down on them in an eternal spiral of romance and poison. Sometimes it hard not to love what can hurt us the most,” wrote Wentz at Falloutboy.com.

The song is the opening track on the band’s new album ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’, which comes out on January 20. It is the follow up to the 2013 album ‘Save Rock And Roll’.

Fall Out Boy will play live in London around the release of the album, headlining Islington Assembly Hall on January 14.
