Fall Out Boy have revealed a new song, ‘The Phoenix’. Scroll down to hear the song and see its accompanying video now.

Described on Twitter by bassist Pete Wentz as “the prequel” to Fall Out Boy’s recent hit single ‘My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)’, ‘The Phoenix’ has a video which sees the band in possession of a briefcase which attracts attention to them from a number of shady characters. The dark video sees lead singer Patrick Stump tortured by a gang of girls dressed in masks before having his hand cut off.

Courtney Love and Elton John are both set to feature on the new Fall Out Boy album ‘Save Rock & Roll’, which is released on April 15. Pete Wentz of the band had previously dropped hints about the new album featuring a guest appearance from a blonde singer who had won a Golden Globe award.

Fall Out Boy have been busy promoting their new album with a series of small-scale shows recently including performances in London and at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The band’s set at the festival included them playing a 40 minute long hit-packed set, which included ‘Dance, Dance’, ‘Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down’ and ‘I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me’.
