Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump reveals ‘slimmed-down’ solo style

Frontman unveils dramatic image change

Fall Out Boy‘s Patrick Stump has unveiled his dramatic image change for his career as a solo artist.

The frontman is set to release his first solo album, ‘Soul Punk’, in February, and has released photos of his new dapper slim-lined style online. See one on music blog Poison Ivy.

Speaking about his new musical direction, he said: “Neither I nor my music seem comfortably defined by the DIY punk or R&B/hip-hop scenes. I feel like I operate between the margins.”

He added: “I want to contribute to the musical vernacular of both. I’m just as pissed off as I was while screaming in punk bands, but I feel like I’m directing it into something positive and centered around love.”

Meanwhile, he’s asking fans to vote for which version of new song ‘Spotlight’ should appear on the album. See Patrickstump.com for more.
