Fall Out Boy drop surprise EP ‘Lake Effect Kid’

Just in time for Reading & Leeds...

Fall Out Boy have released surprise EP ‘Lake Effect Kid’.

Announcing the news on Twitter, the band wrote: “New EP dropping tonight at midnight ET to celebrate our biggest homecoming yet.”

The three-track offering features the tracks  ‘City In a Garden’, ‘Super Fade’ and a new version of ‘Lake Effect Kid’. A demo of the titular track first appeared on 2008’s ‘CitizensFOB Mixtape: Welcome to the New Administration’ before its eventual release some ten years later.

They’ve also released the video for ‘City In a Garden’, which the group describe as “a glimpse at all the madness throughout the years.”

Ahead of their Chicago show, Fall Out Boy also revealed they will be setting up “#theManiaExperience” which offers fans a unique experience at the shows.

“It will be 12 different spaces for you to walk through (everything from a giant purple wave, to a room with music boxes filled with unreleased remixes and covers + more),” the band revealed on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Fall Out Boy will return to the UK for a huge set at Reading & Leeds festivals.

In order to prove their credentials for the latter set, the band recently honoured the county’s cuisine by seeing how many ‘Yorkshire Burrito’s they can roll in 90 seconds. Fall Out Boy headline Reading & Leeds 2018 alongside Kendrick Lamar, Kings Of Leon, Panic! At The Disco and many more across August Bank Holiday Weekend. For tickets and more information, visit here.
