Fall Out Boy have invited Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo and his band to join them on their next tour.
Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson in the hit Netflix series, performed a cover of Fall Out Boy’s ‘Sugar, We’re Goin Down’ with his band Work In Progress during a recent gig in New Jersey.
Asked by Pop Buzz for their verdict on Matarazzo’s band’s cover, Fall Out Boy members Patrick Stump and Joe Trohman said that they’d seen a clip of the performance and that they thought it was “really cool”.
“That’d be neat,” Stump said about the prospect of Matarazzo’s band joining them on tour, with Trohman adding: “Yeah, of course.”

The invite from Fall Out Boy follows a similar act of gratitude from Paramore after frontwoman Hayley Williams said Matarazzo could join them on stage following Work In Progress’ cover of ‘Misery Business’.

Matarazzo’s endeavours in music have been matched by his Stranger Things co-star Finn Wolfhard, who recently performed with his band Calpurnia in New York – check out the NME review of the gig here.
