"Council Licensing difficulties" prevent the stage show based on the festival being shown in Manchester for now...
The stage version of ‘GLASTONBURY’, directed by KEITH ALLEN and designed by DAMIEN HIRST, has been postponed in MANCHESTER.
The event was scheduled to visit Manchester from today (October 23) to Saturday (October 26). However, it has been postponed. Organisers cite “Council Licensing difficulties” as the reason.
A statement reads: “The production will no longer be staged in the marquee at Whitworth Park. The producers still plan to tour the production to Manchester and will be announcing a new venue for later in November, in due course.
“The company apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused to those who have already booked to see the show this week in Manchester. All tickets will be valid for the forthcoming performances in November.”
As a result, the production will remain in Cardiff at Pontcanna Fields for a second week.
