Superstar DJ FATBOY SLIM and his wife, former RADIO 1 DJ ZOE BALL have had a baby boy, WOODY FRED.
The first addition to Norman Cook’s clan was due to be born on Christmas Eve, but his wife Zoe, former Radio 1 presenter, elected to have a Caesarean section on Friday (December 15), and their 8lb 5oz son was delivered at 7.04pm.
Speaking on Radio 4, Zoe’s dad Johnny Ball joked that the new arrival had both inherited their side of the family’s noses and ears “unfortunately” and said he wasn’t sure whether the name was inspired by the ‘Toy Story’ movie character.
A spokesperson for Zoe said: “Everyone is well and very excited and happy. Norman is over the moon and so are the rest of the family.”
Zoe told Sara Cox – who took over from her
in the Radio 1 Breakfast Show slot ? that she has become “a
baby bore”.
She disagreed with her dad?s comments that Woody looked like the Ball side of the family. “He doesn?t really look like either of us, but he
does have Norman?s hairline,” and added that he looks like “a
cross between Winston Churchill and a sumo wrestler.”
She added that she and her superstar DJ husband had been “covered from head
to toe” during their first attempt at changing Woody?s
nappies.
