Eleven people apprehended at Northern Ireland concert

Eleven people were arrested at a Fatboy Slim gig in Portrush, County Antrim in Northern Ireland on Saturday (June 17) on suspicion of drugs offences.

They are being held for suspicion of drug possession with intent to supply.

The drugs that were seized by police during the gig included several hundred tablets of ecstasy, amphetamines and cannabis.

However, police said that they were generally happy with the behaviour of people who attended the gig.

Outside the gig, two further people were arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs, reports BBC News.

A number of people also were found to be in breach of the street drinking by-laws and face prosecution, along with fines of more than £100.
