The star moves beaches - from Brighton to Rio...

FATBOY SLIM is taking his BIG BEACH BOUTIQUE dance spectacular to BRAZIL.

The country’s traditional Rock In Rio event may be taking place in Lisbon this year, but residents of Rio De Janeiro still have a live event to look forward to – in the form of Norman Cook’s beach party – which should hold a potential of between 200,000 and 500,000 party-goers.

The first two Big Beach Boutique all-dayers took place in Cook’s native Brighton. For the third outing, the show is being taken out to Flamengo Beach in Rio De Janeiro on Sunday March 7.


While Cook will headline under his superstar DJ alter-ego, also playing will be [a][/a], plus Brazilian duo Marky and Patife, as well as more to be announced.

Cook, who has collaborated with Damon Albarn on his forthcoming album said: “It looks like I’m going to be getting sand in my record box again.”
