Fatboy Slim’s Brighton beach concert cancelled

Big Beach Boutique 5 pulled

Fatboy Slim‘s Brighton Big Beach Boutique 5 concert, which had been set to take place in the coastal city on the weekend of September 4 and 5, has been cancelled.

Brighton And Hove City Council confirmed that the DJ had cancelled the event, saying that they were disappointed at the news, reports BBC News.

Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, had a stint in rehab in March to battle an alcohol addiction.

Around 20,000 people attended the event last year. It was set to take place on Madeira Drive.

The 2002 inaugural Big Beach Boutique event saw 250,000 people descend on Brighton despite only 60,000 people being originally expected.
