Having recently treated fans to his toungue-in-cheek takes on TV advert music and the House Of Cards theme tune, Father John Misty has returned with new music proper.

Explaining his reasons for sharing the song, the singer-songwriter simply wrote: ““why not.” The song does not reference his recent awkward interview with 6Music DJs Stuart Maconie and Mark Radcliffe.

Father John Misty released latest album ‘I Love You, Honeybear’ in 2015. He is currently on tour in the UK, having started the run of dates last week in Leeds.

Misty is on a roll with song-writing credits, having recently contributed to Beyonce album ‘Lemonade’.

He plays the second of three nights in London tonight (May 19) before the run of gigs ends in Southampton at O2 Guildhall on May 21.
