Band also treat Main Stage crowd to greatest hits set
The band played a hit-laden set to a huge crowd on Reading Festival‘s Main Stage, opening with ‘Feeling A Moment’, from 2005’s ‘Pushing The Senses’ album.
Midway through the gig, the band were forced to abandon ‘Insomnia’ due to guitar problems, leaving a blushing Grant Nicholas to declare: “We’ll have to start that one again…this will be take two!” ‘Just The Way I’m Feeling’, ‘Come Back Around’ and ‘Buck Rogers’ all drew an impassioned response from the crowd, but the biggest cheer came when the band finished their set by launching into their cover of ‘Breed’.
Alongside Manic Street Preachers (‘Pennyroyal Tea’) and Dirty Pretty Things (‘In Bloom’), they became the third band of the weekend to do so. Incidentally, Nirvana opened their legendary 1992 set at Reading Festival by playing ‘Breed’.
