‘ECHO PARK’ PARTY!

The rockers are part of an eclectic bill - let's hope they can compete with the Robbie Williams gig just round the corner...

FEEDER, ASH, DANE BOWERS and FIVE are among the acts lined up to take part in a massive one-day free festival in Wales this summer.

Toploader and a1 have also been booked to appear at the ‘Party In The Park’ event in the grounds of Cardiff Castle on July 14.

Local radio station Red Dragon is promoting the event, and tickets will be available through station giveaways from today. More names are expected to be confirmed by the independent station over the next two weeks.

The huge event won’t please all pop fans – it clashes with the first of two sold-out Robbie Williams‘ shows at the Millennium Stadium, just around the corner.

Red Dragon managing director Beverley Cleall-Harding said: “It’s going to be the hottest pop concert in South Wales this summer.

“We’ve got some of the biggest names in pop coming to party with us.”

Both Feeder and Ash have already included Cardiff on their tour schedules this

year – Ash playing at the University Great Hall and Feeder at the Coal Exchange.

As reported yesterday on NME.COM, the London ‘Party In The Park’ on July 8 will star Wyclef Jean, Shaggy, Ronan Keating and Craig David.
