Feist streams new album ‘Metals’ before official release – listen

The Canadian folk singer's fifth album is released on October 3

Feist is streaming her fifth studio album, ‘Metals’, online now, ahead of its official release on October 3. Scroll down to listen.

The album is the folk-pop star’s first since 2007’s ‘The Reminder’ and was recorded in California‘s picturesque Big Sur area, with co-production from Chilly Gonzales, Mocky and Valgeir Sigurðsson (Bjork, Bonnie Prince Billy).

‘The Reminder’ featured the track ‘The Limit To Your Love’, which was covered by James Blake last year.


Feist released a dozen mini film clips hinting at the content of ‘Metals’. The vignettes can be watched at

Feist will be playing a one-off UK gig at the London Palladium on October 17 – her first show on these shores since 2008. The tour will also visit Europe before hitting North America.
