The band get the biggest Other Stage crowd of the weekend so far...

FRANZ FERDINAND drew the biggest OTHER STAGE crowd of the weekend so far with an anthemic set this afternoon (June 25).

The band have just finished their set at the Glastonbury Festival, on a stage that also features Snow Patrol, The Rapture and Badly Drawn Boy throughout the day.

Fans came out in their tens of thousands, setting off fireworks and singing every word to the band’s singles including ’Take Me Out’, which they said they were filming for ‘Top Of The Pops’, and Darts Of Pleasure’.

Introducing the single ’Matinee’, singer Alex Kapranos said : “One of the best things about Glastonbury is bunking off from your ordinary life. And this is what this song is all about.”
