What everyone travelling down to the farm this weekend wants to know is - will it rain? Well, let's see what the prediction is...

The weather forecast for this year’s GLASTONBURY festival is still promising a mainly dry weekend.

The festival site can expect rain tomorrow (June 22) with a maximum temperature of 16ºC, but as festival goers begin arriving on Wednesday (23), the weather should be cloudy and slightly warmer.

According to BBC Weather, the sun is predicted to come out on Thursday (24), and although Friday (25) will get cloudy, the maximum temperature should have risen to 18ºC.

Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis offered NME readers some useful advice for surviving the festival.

She said: “There’s always a chance of showers so it’s best to have some solid footwear and a waterproof jacket at hand. Evenings are cool whatever the weather, so bring a jumper and, if needs be, a blanket to throw over your shoulders while you wander through the Green Fields in the middle of the night. Keep feet and heads warm, i.e. socks and hats, when you sleep. That way you can stay warm through the twilight hours.”

The music at Glastonbury kicks off on Friday (June 25) with a headlining performance from Oasis, and sets from [a][/a], PJ Harvey and Elbow.
