Scissor Sisters have ruled themselves out the possibility of headlining next month’s GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL.

The band have been strongly rumoured to be taking Kylie Minogue place at this year’s event, after the singer was forced to pull out of her Pyramid Stage slot after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

However, a statement issued by the band denies the claims. It reads: “As much as we’d like to, it’s sadly not going to happen. Don’t believe what you read in the papers.”

A spokesperson for the festival has told NME.COM the band weren’t approached this year.
