The rap collective snub The Darkness to join their old pals to the delight of a huge crowd...

GOLDIE LOOKIN’ CHAIN snubbed THE DARKNESS to go onstage with their old pals SUPER FURRY ANIMALS at the READING leg of the CARLING WEEKEND tonight (August 27).

The collective joined the band for a run through ’Motherfokker’, the track they released as a download-only earlier this year.

All day rumours had been circulating onsite that the Welsh rappers would crash the Main Stage for a cover of ‘Walk This Way’, but it wasn’t to be.

The Furries, playing before a packed tent, also brought on the yetis for set closer ’The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’, having killed them off earlier this year at London Hammersmith Apollo. But singer Gruff Rhys had told NME.COM earlier: “It’s like Jesus, a resurrection.”

The SFA set was:

’Slow Life’

’(Drawing) Rings Around The World’

’Golden Retriever’

’Do Or Die’

‘Hello Sunshine’

’Run, Christian, Run!’

’Juxtapozed With U’

’The International Language Of Screaming’

’The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’
