But he’s been getting worried about something very strange…

GRAHAM COXON is getting ready for his headlining set on the RADIO 1 stage at this year’s CARLING WEEKEND: READING festival (August 27), but has revealed that he was more nervous about something other than his performance.

The guitarist, who will play as The Darkness take to the Main Stage, told NME.COM that he was more worried about what he was going to wear tonight.

Speaking before his appearance in the NME Signing Tent, Coxon said: “That was the more worrying aspect of the whole thing because I’m very superstitious about clothing. The set is fine, but the clothes were making me more nervous.”

On headlining tonight, he said: “I haven’t thought about it too much… it’s probably the best way really. They asked me ages ago before anything happened, so I’m really chuffed. I hope I have a good time. It’ll probably be an edgy performance because there’s a lot of people here – a lot of people I haven’t seen for a long time. I want them to see a good show.”

He added: “I’m not worried though. I think I’ll get a tent full.”

Super Furry Animals will take to the stage before Graham Coxon tonight on the Radio 1 stage.
