And they're waiting to see the Pixies...

THE THRILLS wowed the V FESTIVAL crowds with their new songs in STAFFORDSHIRE today (August 21).

Their V Stage performance was the first chance for many UK fans to hear songs from forthcoming new album ‘Let’s Bottle Bohemia’, including ‘Found My Rosebud’ and new single ‘Whatever Happened To Corey Haim?’

The Irish charmers have been away touring the US, and for singer Conor Deasy the show was a welcome homecoming. He told NME.COM: “We did the T In The Park, unfortunately we had to go on after Franz Ferdinand in their home country, so that was a bit humbling. We’ve been touring America – another humbling experience, so it’s good to be back here.

“The new songs are the exciting thing, because we’ve been debuting the songs on the road and sometimes they’re going down as well as the singles, that’s what really drove us on to get straight in the studio.”

Conor shared the sentiments of most of the festival in his plans for the rest of the day: “I’m looking forward to seeing the Pixies, but we’re going to do an American tour with them so I’ll see them every night, but I’ll go and see them anyway. We did a show with them in Dublin with the (Red Hot) Chili Peppers.”
