THE DRESDEN DOLLS have pulled out of their CARLING WEEKEND: READING AND LEEDS FESTIVALS performance this weekend.
The band were due to play in Leeds on August 26 before heading to the Reading site of the event on August 28.
A statement from Amanda Palmer of the band said: “All of The Dresden Dolls upcoming scheduled appearances at European Festivals have been cancelled.”
She added: “This was not an easy decision and we’re sorry for the late notice. Once we finish up the recordings of record number two the full Dresden Dolls experience will be back out on the road. However I will be appearing solo at Moshulu in Aberdeen (August 23), Exchange in Edinburgh (24) and ABC in Glasgow (25) this week.”

The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals take place between August 26 and 28 at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds, and will see Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters and [a][/a] headline over the three days.
