The first day of 2005 V FESTIVAL has kicked off at both CHELMSFORD and STAFFORDSHIRE today (August 20).
Festivalgoers at the southern leg can look forward to a headlining performance by Oasis, while at Weston Park, Staffordshire the site has been engulfed by rumours that co-headliners Franz Ferdinand and Scissor Sisters are planning a surprise collaboration tonight.
There have been 30 arrests overnight at the Weston Park site, with police saying 19 of those being drug related, the Shropshire Star reports.
Other offences include theft, while there has been 55 cautions, again mainly drug-related.
