The band are a big hit with both the Spanish and the Brits abroad...

KEANE attracted one of the biggest crowds of the weekend at the BENICASSIM FESTIVAL tonight (August 6).

A TV screen was hastily switched on nearby the Escenario Verde stage so the fans who could not get near had a chance to see their idols close up.

The band, dressed in their customary dark clothes despite the intense evening heat, rolled out a set of greatest hits, as they have been doing at festivals throughout the summer, including Glastonbury and T In The Park.

Highlight of the night for the devotional crowd was ’Bedshaped’, though ’Everbody’s Changing’ and ’Somewhere Only We Know’ ran them close.

The band’s set ended with a huge ovation, from both the Spanish and the many Brits who had flocked to see them.

One punter, Chris Collins from Glasgow, said: “Oasis will have to go some to beat that tomorrow.”
