TRIBAL GATHERING organisers have decided to postpone this weekend’s one day festival following increased security costs.
The benefit gig, which was set up to help people in Sudan, was due to kick off at Luton Hoo Estate on July 16 and was expected to feature the likes of Mylo, Groove Armada and Audio Bullys.
Organisers say that, following the events in London last week, increased security measures would be required and that has made the event unviable.
No details about exactly what security measures would be required were released on their official site but a statement read: “In the light of current events in London it has been decided to postpone the proposed charity event Tribal Gathering at Luton Hoo Estate on 16 July 2005. Playing Alive and Tribal Gathering would like to inform everyone who has purchased tickets that each ticket sold for the event can be exchanged via Piccadilly Ticketline, for two tickets for the Tribal Gathering Warehouse Party taking place on August Bank Holiday in Manchester. Refunds are also available.”
The two day party in Manchester will take place on August 27-28 and will feature sets from Mylo and DJs Carl Cox, Sasha and John Digweed.
