CARLING WEEKEND THRILLS!

The line-up for Reading and Leeds just got stronger still...

The Thrills, Cave In and Staind are among the latest additions to the CARLING WEEKEND: READING AND LEEDS festivals, NME.COM can reveal.

Staind play the Main Stage between The Datsuns and Finch In Reading on the 23rd and Leeds on the 24th.

Cave In and The Darkness are the latest addition for the Main Stage on the night Blur headline, playing before Junior Senior on a bill that also includesWhite Stripes, Doves and The Thrills (Reading 23, Leeds 24).

The Kills, AFI and Jet join the line-up on the BBC Radio 1 Evening Session Stage on the same days, on a bill headlined by Grandaddy.

Hell Is For Heroes, Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, The Raveonettes, Music and Radio 4 will play the BBC Radio 1 Evening Session Stage at Reading on the Sunday (24), which opens the event in Leeds (22) The stage on those nights is headlined by [a][/a].

NME.COM can also announce first details of the Concrete Jungle Stage, with Pennywise, Lagwagon, The Ataris, Alkaline Trio, Mad Caddies, Turbonegro, Thrice, King Prawn and Funeral For A Friend all now confirmed to play.

This year’s event is confirmed to take place between Friday, August 22 and Sunday, August 24 at Temple Newsam in Leeds and Richfield Avenue in Reading, subject to licence. Tickets are on sale now, priced £95 for a weekend pass.
