Festival organisers are going to great lengths this year in an attempt to avoid the problems at last year’s Leeds festival, when scores were arrested amid violent scenes in a festival campsite.

This year, an application has been lodged for two different sites, with an option of nearby Bramham Park if Temple Newsam’s licence bid fails.
