Local police are still investigating the unexplained passing away of the 18-year-old...
The man who died at the READING FESTIVAL yesterday has been named.
As previously reported, local police are investigating the unexplained death in the early hours of Monday morning (August 25). Officers were called at 5.15am following reports that a man in the campsite had stopped breathing.
Formal identification has taken place of the man, who was Kieran Anthony Griffin, aged 18, of Leighton Buzzard.
A post-mortem examination took place today (August 26), although police say the Coroner is waiting for toxicology and histology test results before a cause of death can be determined. This should take approximately one week.
Inspector John Relph, who has been overseeing the running of the festival, said: “The tragic events of this sudden death have dampened things and our sympathies and thoughts are with the family of the boy who died.”
