Body of man found near the site of Glastonbury Festival after suspected hit and run...

The body of a suspected hit and run victim has been found near the site of the GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL.

BBC news reports that the body of a man was discovered at 5.15am this morning (June 30) near the Bath and West Showground, just to the south of Shepton Mallet – two miles from the festival site.

Police have initially said there may be a link between a stolen camper van, found nearby, to the incident.

Nick Hunt of Avon and Somerset Police commented: “We are keeping an open mind at the moment. A body was found on the roadside and a stolen vehicle was found nearby. We suspect the two may be linked but it is too early to say at the moment.”
