The Modfather-inspired outfit draw a massive crowd as the Scots proclaim themselves firm fans...

THE ORDINARY BOYS drew the biggest crowd of the day so far to a completely packed KING TUT’S WAH WAH TENT at T IN THE PARK today (July 10), as they played a set dedicated to “the MODS…and the ROCKERS.”

The Modfather-inspired outfit have proved themselves among the hottest newcomers of the day so far with the Scots crowd, as early single ‘Week In Week Out’ got them jumping with a huge cheer, followed closely by most recent single ‘Talk Talk Talk’, which sent the tent full of fans wild.

With a Union Jack flag draped over their amps, they thanked the Balado “hooligans” and frontman Preston said: “We played quite an epic set at (legendary Glasgow venue) King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut last night. I saw some of you there,” before launching into album track ‘Seaside’.

A heckler in the front row who had been hollering for their cover of ‘Summertime Blues’ succeeded in having the song dedicated to him as “the mature bloke in the front row”.

Preston thanked the crowd saying: “It’s mental to see so many of you here,” before departing to huge cheers after ‘Maybe Someday’.
