The drummer arrives on site early sparking speculation of a guest appearance with Killing Joke...

FOO FIGHTERS have arrived at the V FESTIVAL in CHELMSFORD, but DAVE GROHL has told NME.COM he has no plans to drum with his mates KILLING JOKE.

The band rolled into the backstage area just before 3pm today (August 16), drummer Taylor Hawkins and Grohl hanging around for pictures with fans.

NME.COM asked Dave if he was on site early so he could make a surprise appearance with Killing Joke, who appear on the NME Stage later this afternoon. He recently played drums on their new album.

However, Dave is here just to soak up the sun. “Are they playing!?”, he said, seemingly amazed.

Foo Fighters are due to play the Main Stage at this year’s festival this evening.
