Organisers say crime is low, but spirits are high…
T IN THE PARK organisers have said their eleventh festival has got off to a “great start”.
There are currently a capacity 60,000 fans on the Scottish site, which will see performances later today from The Darkness, Muse and Keane amongst many others.
According to the latest figures, over half of the music fans at the festival arrived yesterday, with another 30,000 this morning.
Emergency services have only reported 15 arrests, mainly for minor offences.
Event Commander Chief Superintendent Matt Hamilton from Tayside Police said: “So far we have had fifteen arrests, all for minor offences, specifically drug offences, assaults and breach of the peace. In addition we have had a number of reports of issues such as theft from the campsite. Overall we have had a good start to the festivals, helped by the good humoured T In The Park crowd.”
Bands who have appeared so far include Black Eyed Peas, Beta Band, The Zutons and The Ordinary Boys.
