Gahan wrote all ten tracks on the LP with his multi-instrumentalist friend Knox Chandler. The album was produced by Ken Thomas of Sigur Ros fame.
The singer says of the LP, “What really hit me most was how happy and fulfilled it made me feel. I wanted to hear something that makes me feel good. That’s been the train of thought throughout this record.”
Meanwhile, Gahan’s Depeche Mode bandmate Martin Gore releases a new solo single, ‘Stardust’, through Mute on April 14.
A version of the David Essex Seventies smash, ‘Stardust’ is the first single to be lifted from Gore’s new album ‘Counterfeit2’, the second in his ‘counterfeit’ cover version series, which is released on April 28.
