And the Scottish rockers are welcomed home with open arms...

TRAVIS covered THE BEE GEES during a hit-laden set on the MAIN STAGE at T IN THE PARK tonight (July 10) .

The Glasgow boys, who headlined in 2000, were rapturously received by the massive ‘hometown’ crowd, and responded by belting out a selection of their greatest hits.

Highlights included ’Driftwood’, ’Sing’, and the inevitable ’Why Does It Always Rain On Me?’, which was ecstatically received by the devoted home crowd, despite the beautiful sunshine!

With reference to the terrorist attacks on London, frontman Fran Healy told the crowd: “It’s been a weird week with all the highs and lows. Live 8 was amazing, when people come together like this it’s amazing. This song is about coming together, everyone standing on the same side.” The band then played ’Side’, which segued into a cover of The Bee Gees’s ’Staying Alive’.

The band also found time to play a new song, ’Closer’.

The set was:

’Writing To Reach You’

’Love Will Come Through’

’The Fear’

’The Beautiful Occupation’

’Side/Staying Alive’

’All I Want To Do Is Rock’

’Flowers In The Window’ (Fran solo acoustic)

’Why Does It Always Rain On Me?’
