Stars including Travis, Doves and Primal Scream squeeze into the tent with hundreds of Kings fans to catch the hottest show of the festival so far...
TRAVIS, Kings Of Leon and PRIMAL SCREAM were among the fans who turned out to watch the Warlocks‘s triumphant, packed-out set at the New Stage this evening (June 28), which has been one of the hottest shows of the festival so far!
The Kings Of Leon were playing after fellow Americans Interpol, who already had Bobby Gillespie dancing with his pal, punk designer Pam Hogg. The tent then filled up fast and hundreds of punters were forced to stand the outside to try and catch a piece of the action.
Jimi Goodwin and Dougie Payne were among the rock stars who wanted to check out the rocking Followill clan – along with hundreds of festival-goers.
And the verdict was “fantastic!” Katy James, 23, from Bath, said: “This is the first time I’ve seen them, I’ve been waiting ages to see them live, and it was just brilliant.” Her friend Tom Phillips, 28, from Manchester, added: “They really didn’t disappoint – excellent festival band, amazing songs, what more could you ask for?”
After their set, the Kings Of Leon sat backstage chatting to Noel Gallagher in the bar.
They weren’t the only band that drew a celeb-studded crowd – Har Mar Superstar were watched by Michael Stipe and [/a] – though the odd couple weren’t watching the band together. Stipey stood at the side of the Other Stage and took in their glorious set, while [a] hung out in the photo pit at the foot of the stage.
