KEANE have caused a frenzy in NME signing tent at the T IN THE PARK festival.
The band have just completed a hectic session signing autographs for a large crowd, and keyboard player Tim Rice-Oxley told NME.COM it fans had thrown up a couple of strange items for the band to put their names on.
”We’ve been doing this for a year now and it’s always strange,” he admitted. “Middle aged women wanting their breasts signed is par for the course. Yes there were a couple today.”
The band are now preparing for their slot on the festival’s main stage just below the Foo Fighters, a spot the Keane keyboardist admitted he was relishing.
”We’re not going to pretend we can blow them off the stage in terms of sheer wattage, they’re a classic rock band,” he explained. “But that’s the great thing about T In The Park there’s so much different music here and people in Scotland have been very good to us. I think we’ve played here more than any other country so I’m looking forward to getting on stage later.”
