Fetty Wap stable in hospital following motorcycle accident, manager confirms

Rapper injured in New Jersey crash

Fetty Wap is in a stable condition in hospital after being involved in a motorcycle crash yesterday (September 26).

The rapper, who achieved chart success on both sides of the Atlantic with hit single ‘Trap Queen’ this summer, was involved in the crash in Paterson, New Jersey just one day after releasing his debut album.

A statement obtained by The Fader by Wap’s manager confirms that he is being treated by medical staff and includes a message from the rapper’s family. The statement reads:

“Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today. He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.”

The following tweets show images from the accident, which is reported to have involved a car, while a later tweet from Wap’s DJ Louie Styles shows the rapper recovering in hospital.
