Fetty Wap confirms he broke leg in crash as police suggest he drove motorcycle without a license

Rapper crashed in New Jersey on Saturday (September 26)

Fetty Wap broke his leg in three places in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.

The rapper updated fans on his condition following news of the crash, and subsequent clarification that his condition was not as bad as first feared.

“Appreciate all my fans praying for me,” the rapper said in an Instagram video posted yesterday (September 27). He added: “I had a little accident, I broke my leg in three places but I’ll be alright. I really appreciate y’all.”

However, it is not just broken bones that Fetty Wap must contend with. CBS News reports that the rapper was notified of proceedings against him for driving without a license, not having insurance and failing to produce a vehicle registration card.

The rapper, who achieved chart success on both sides of the Atlantic with hit single ‘Trap Queen’ this summer, was involved in the crash in Paterson, New Jersey just one day after releasing his debut album.

A statement released by his manager shortly after the crash read: “Fetty Wap was involved in a motorcycle incident earlier today. He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support. They ask that you respect their privacy during this time. We will provide an update on his condition as it becomes available.”
