Fidlar spoof music videos by Oasis, Britney Spears and Green Day as they confirm new album

US band will release 'Too' in September – hear first song '40oz On Repeat' now

Fidlar have confirmed details of their second album and revealed the video for new song ’40oz On Repeat’. See below to watch the video in which the band spoof a number of well-known music videos.

The video sees the LA-based band paying homage to famous music videos by artists including Oasis (‘Wonderwall’), Green Day (‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’) and Britney Spears. There are also spoofs of videos by George Michael, Missy Elliott, Weezer, The Hives and Korn among the 15 tributes.

‘Too’ is Fidlar’s second album and will be released on September 4 via Wichita Recordings (Cloud Nothings, Waxahatchee, Slow Club). Recorded over a period of just two weeks with producer Jay Joyce, frontman Zac Carper says the album is anything but “a standard rock record.”

“We could have made record number one again… but instead we decided to challenge ourselves and admit that we don’t know everything,” Carper said. “Up until this point we had recorded everything ourselves, so working with a producer taught us so much. I didn’t want to make a standard rock record. The goal for this album was to think outside the box and I think Jay really helped us do that.”

The ‘Too’ tracklisting is as follows:

’40oz. On Repeat’
‘West Coast’
‘Why Generation’
‘Leave Me Alone’
‘Hey Johnny’
‘Stupid Decisions’
‘Bad Medicine’
‘Bad Habits’

The band headline London’s Heaven on June 23 and also play Download and Reading & Leeds festivals.
