Claire Freeland was apparently not good enough for Hear'say - but she's making a name for herself on her own...

Scots POPSTARS reject CLAIRE FREELAND is to release her debut single, titled ‘FREE’, on July 2.

The 24-year-old from Glasgow was featured in The Sun and on GMTV after judges dropped her from the TV series that spawned chart-toppers Hear’Say, and was approached by Billie Piper and Five’s songwriter John McLaughlin.

The single will be released through her own label, Statuesque, and Claire is set to shoot a video in London in the next fortnight.
