WARREN STACEY, one of the failed hopefuls from the UK POPSTARS talent search, has landed a deal with the UK imprint of DEF JAM records, DEF SOUL.

Warren is the second signing to Def Soul, following on the steps of Aaron Soul, a former school-mate of Craig David, whose debut single, ‘Ring, Ring, Ring’ is release mid-May.

According to sources at Def Soul (whose US counterparts include Sisqo, Kelly Price and Musiq Soulchild, as well as the legendary rap roster which numbers


Public Enemy, LL Cool J, the Beastie Boys, Foxy Brown and Redman, Warren will be recording his debut album in the UK and US, working with members of Brit funk soul outfit D-Influence.
