First Aid Kit have covered Simon and Garfunkel‘s classic track ‘America’.

The duo will release the track as a ten-inch single for Record Store Day Black Friday on November 28. Speaking about the cover, First Aid Kit released a statement which reads: “The structure of the song and the melody just make for an epic journey. The lyrics are like a poem, without a single rhyme. It contains some of our favorite lines, like, ‘Toss me a cigarette I think there’s one in my raincoat.'”

It follows their recent rendition of R.E.M‘s 1998 track ‘Walk Unafraid’. The cover features on the soundtrack of upcoming film Wild. The Swedish sisters released their third LP ‘Stay Gold’, the follow-up to their acclaimed 2012 album ‘The Lion’s Roar’, in June. It was produced by Mike Mogis and features the Omaha Symphony Orchestra and arrangements from Bright Eyes band member Nate Walcott.
