Sean Conlon and Ritchie Neville are suffering from glandular fever and an achilles tendon injury respectively...
FIVE have pulled out of a trio of live shows set for later this month due to the “ill health of two band members”.
The group, who are currently missing member Sean Conlon from promotional activities for forthcoming album ‘Kingsize’ due to a bout of glandular fever, have suffered another setback, in the form of Ritchie Neville’s damaged Achilles tendon.
A statement reads: “These cancellations have regrettably been made due to the ill health of two band members. Sean Conlon is suffering from glandular fever and physical and mental exhaustion; Ritchie Neville has severely injured his Achilles tendon. Both have been ordered to rest by their doctors.
“After careful discussion and consideration it has been decided that it is not practical for the band to perform live with three members, so these appearances will not go ahead.”
Five added: “We are truly sorry to disappoint you. We’d like to thank each and every one of you for supporting us and getting ‘Let’s Dance’ to Number One in the charts. We all look forward to playing for you live very soon and can’t wait to get back out there.”
Five were due to play: Chelmsford Spectacular (August 25)
Wiltshire Festival (26)
Radio City Roadshow and Kent Festival (27)
