'Let's Dance' set to follow in the footsteps of 'Keep On Movin' and 'We Will Rock You'...

FIVE remain on course for this week’s Number One single following the publication of midweek sales figures.

The group’s new single ‘Let’s Dance’, released yesterday (August 13), was the biggest selling single in the UK after one day sales, according to a chart expert at the Virgin Megastore in London.

If sales continue at this rate, the boyband will be declared Number One this coming Sunday (August 19), knocking So Solid Crew‘s ’21’Seconds’ from the top spot after just one week.

A clutch of other artists are also set to have high new entries this week. Sophie Ellis-Bextor‘s new single ‘Take Me Home’ is currently the second highest new entry at Number Two, pushing So Solid Crew down to Number Three.

Elsewhere, Eve and Gwen Stefani’s ‘Let Me Blow Your Mind’ is at Number Four, Jamiroquai‘s ‘Little L’ is at Number Five and New Order‘s ‘Crystal’ is at Number Six.
