Watch as flares are set off in the crowd to mark Liam Gallagher’s arrival in Glasgow

Video footage has captured the moment that Liam Gallagher‘s arrival on stage in Glasgow was greeted with several flares being ignited in the crowd.

In the footage, which was posted on Twitter, the red and yellow smoke from the flares is seen rising in the crowd as Liam belts out Oasis classic ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’. You can view it below.

Describing the scene, one fan wrote on Twitter: “@liamgallagher was absolutely fucking amazing at the @TheSSEHydro last night!! Absolutely smashed it! Also the first time I’ve ever seen flares set off at an indoor gig! Mental! As you were TH #AsYouWereGlasgow”

Another said: “Only in Glasgow would people let off fireworks and flares in an indoor concert because it’s Liam Gallagher… I mean where else is it suitable to do that other than a Liam Gallagher concert in Glasgow.”

Last night’s Glasgow show was the second date on Liam’s December UK tour, which kicked off in Leeds and saw the former Oasis man riffing on his love of all things Yorkshire.

“I’ve got nothing against Yorkshire, man – I love the tea”, he told the First Direct Arena crowd.

His UK tour continues tomorrow in Plymouth, before heading to London, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Brighton before ending with a homecoming show in Manchester next week.
