Fleet Foxes’ ‘Helplessness Blues’ charts at Number Two behind Adele

Beastie Boys' 'Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2' also goes Top 10

Fleet Foxes‘ new album ‘Helplessness Blues’ has gone in at Number 2 in the albums chart as Adele clung onto the top spot tonight (May 8).

The Tottenham soul singer’s second album ’21’ has now clocked up a total of 14 weeks at the summit of the chart. Her 2008 debut record ’19’ went down to Number 3.

There were new entries for Jennifer Lopez – in at Number 6 with ‘Love’ and the Beastie Boys at Number 9 with ‘Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2’.

Meanwhile, Ellie Goulding‘s 2010 debut ‘Lights’ moved back into the Top 10 after her performance at the Royal Wedding reception last week (April 29).

In the singles chart, ‘Party Rock Anthem’ – a collaboration between LMFAO, GoonRock and Lauren Bennett – spent a fourth week at Number One.

Elsewhere, David Guetta scored a new entry at Number 3 with ‘Where Them Girls At’, a collaboration with Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj.

Blue‘s Eurovision Song Contest entry ‘I Can’ went in at Number 16.
