US singer also offers update on Fleetwood Mac bandmate's cancer diagnosis
A clip of Stevie Nicks appearing in US TV show American Horror Story has been revealed ahead of her cameo appearance later this month (January, 2014).
Nicks will appear in an episode titled ‘The Magical Delights Of Stevie Nicks’, as part of the show’s third season. Click here to watch the clip of her character, Misty Day, now.
Speaking to Rolling Stone about her cameo, Nicks said: “I don’t want to be bad at anything that I do that people see. If I try to learn to skate and I’m terrible, nobody’s going to know about it,. But it was really fun. I now belong to a very secret society. And you’ll be surprised – not with my terrific acting, but with the whole thing.”
Meanwhile, Nicks has offered an update on Fleetwood Mac bandmate John McVie’s cancer diagnosis.
McVie, who plays bass in the band, was diagnosed with the illness in October 2013. Speaking in a new interview, Nicks told US Weekly that she is confident her friend will get better, describing him as a “very, very strong man”.
“He’s good,” Nicks said of McVie. “He’s got his treatment, and now he did a show on the 30th and 31st (of December). I’m not the least bit worried about John. He’s very, very strong and a man of very few words. He’s not a person to mess with.”
Earlier this year festival organiser Michael Eavis confirmed that Fleetwood Mac will not perform at Glastonbury this year. He was, however, hopeful that the band will perform at Worthy Farm in 2015.
