Florence and the Machine cover The Beatles ‘All You Need Is Love’ in Paris – watch

Eagles of Death Metal also feature in Florence's set

Florence And The Machine have covered The Beatles ‘All You Need Is Love’ at Le Zénith, Paris, pairing the song with Eagles Of Death Metal’s ‘I Love You All The Time’ at the end of her set just before Christmas.

Florence already recorded a version of ‘I Love You All The Time’ after Eagles of Death Metal asked other acts to cover the song following the massacre of 89 people at their show in Le Bataclan, Paris, in November. All profits from recordings that would have been due to Eagles of Death Metal will be passed to victims of the tragedy.

The campaign is called ‘Play It Forward’, and a host of major acts including Kings Of Leon, Maccabees, My Morning Jacket and Imagine Dragons have taken part.

Florence And The Machine will headline a British Summer Time show at London’s Hyde Park next year, with rapper Kendrick Lamar supporting.

The pair will head a bill for the all-day gig on July 2, 2016, with Jamie xx and Blood Orange also confirmed. Other Hyde Park shows will be headlined by Take That and Mumford and Sons.

The Beatles, meanwhile, ended their long-time boycott of streaming services on boxing day, adding their entire back catalogues to a range of services for the first time.
