Florence And The Machine singer reveals she’d ‘like to work with Thom Yorke’

Florence Welch also explains that their new album is going to be 'chemical and elemental'

Florence And The Machine singer Florence Welch has revealed that she would like to work with Thom Yorke in the future.

Currently working on the follow-up to their Number One album, ‘Lungs’, with producer Paul Epworth, Florence explained that she’s a big fan of the Radiohead star.

“I think that he’s a really amazing musician, I’d like to do something with him in the future,” Welch told BBC Newsbeat. “I’ve never met him but I’m a big fan of his work. I think it could work – haven’t done anything about it though.”

Meanwhile, Welch also revealed how work on their new album was developing.

“It sounds a bit more fuzzy, a bit harder,” she explained. “If the first album was animal and anatomical, I think this one is chemical and elemental.”

As previously reported, Florence And The Machine have recently been confirmed to play this year’s Isle Of Wight Festival, which will be headlined by The Strokes.
