Florence And The Machine remain at peak of album chart

Owl City are celebrating tonight (January 24) after scoring their first ever UK Number One with ‘Fireflies’

The track, the creation of 20-year-old Adam Young from Minnesota, has already been a hit around the world. It was Number One on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped charts from Australia to Ireland.

There are two new entries on this week’s Top 10, Example’s ‘Won’t Go Quietly’ is at Number Six and JLS‘s ‘One Shot’ at 10.

The influence of US TV series Glee is still being felt in the charts, as two versions of the show’s flagship song, ‘Don’t Stop Believin”, are still in the Top 10, the original version by Journey is at Number Seven while the cast’s version sits at Number Three.

Meanwhile, on the album chart Florence And The Machine‘s ‘Lungs’ remains at the top, while Lostprophets are at Number Three with new album ‘The Betrayed’ and 15 year-old Canadian Justin Bieber is at Number Four with debut release ‘My World’.
