Florence + The Machine and Rihanna to perform on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in May

Louis CK and Reese Witherspoon will host the two final episodes of the series

It has been announced that Florence And The Machine will be among the musical guests of the final few few episodes of the current season of Saturday Night Live.

The long-running US TV show has three episode remaining, with rapper Wiz Khalifa set to perform on May 2 show, guest-presented by actress and singer Scarlett Johansson. Florence Welch will follow on May 9, with Reese Witherspoon hosting. The series finale will then feature a performance from Rihanna on May 16, with guest host Louis CK.

Mumford & Sons performed on SNL earlier in April.

Florence Welch’s upcoming third LP ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ is out on June 1. It’s the third album from Florence + The Machine and follows 2009 debut ‘Lungs’ and 2011 follow-up ‘Ceremonials’. Produced by Marcus Dravs (Björk, Arcade Fire, Coldplay), the new album also includes contributions from Paul Epworth, Kid Harpoon and John Hill.

Florence + The Machine will be playing this year’s Glastonbury Festival, which will run from June 24-28 at Worthy Farm, as well as next week’s episode of Later… with Jools Holland.
